No More After School Math Club

I will no longer be meeting with students after school for homework help. If students need extra help on their homework, we will find time during the school day.

Volume, Band, Science, Social Studies

This week students will find the volume of solid figures.

To practice, check out IXL and Study Island. The more you practice, the easier the tests are.

Social studies reports will be given this week.

Science and reading will be combined this week. Students will learn about landforms and complete some nonfiction reading assignments that go along with the experiments they perform in class.

Don’t forget to register for a music class for next year! I want to see you come back and perform with the choir or band.

Google Drive

We will be using Google Drive to work on a writing project this week. Google Drive is an online tool that allows students to compose writing, save it, and print it. It can be accessed from school or at home or anywhere with web access.

To login to your Drive account, visit https://drive.google.com

You username follows this formula:

first five letters of your last name + first 5 letters of your first name + middle initial + 00 @ isd728.org

Example: A boy named Michael B. Student would login with studemichab00@isd728.org

Your password is your lunch number.

Valentine’s Day

Next Friday our class will have a short Valentine’s Day celebration at the end of the day.

If you would like to bring Valentine’s Day cards to distribute to classmates, please bring enough for 33 students. The cards should not be addressed to individuals, just signed by the student giving the card.

You do not need to bring Valentine’s Day cards if you do not want to, but if you do bring cards you need to bring enough for the whole class (33 students).

Regardless of whether or not you pass out cards, please bring a bag or box to collect cards given to you. You do not need to bring an ornately decorated box, but you are welcome to do so if you want to. Whatever container you decide to bring, just make sure it has your name on it.

Thank you,

Mr. Scott
