Leah’s Pony, Social Studies, Fractions, and Folktales

This week students will be adding and subtracting fractions.  They will practice adding and subtracting fractions with and without like denominators.

Students will be reading Leah’s Pony.  Students will be looking at character and setting.  We will also examine the way this story relates to what we’re studying in social studies.

On the Banks of Plum Creek needs to be finished on Monday.  If you still have reading to do, make sure you get it done this week.

Language Arts

Students will be continuing to write poetry.

Students will also be performing their folktale plays on Thursday and Friday.
