Math: Factors and Multiples

We continue to review factors and multiples.  Check last week’s post for some resources.

Some students got a chance to use a 3D modeling program called Sketch Up this week.  This program is free for download and can be used to develop geometry skills.  It’s also pretty fun to use.  It can be found here:  Sketch Up

In reading this week students are practicing using visualization to better understand stories.  Students will complete some drawing activities and performance activities to help illustrate the events that occur in a text.

Students continue to work with their book clubs on a variety of comprehension strategies.  Books must be finished by Monday.

Students are practicing writing simple sentences this week.  By the end of the week students should be comfortable writing simple sentences that include a capital letter and an end mark.  They will also be able to identify subjects and predicates.

You can compare and contrast these two videos about subject and predicate.
