Place Value, Character, Setting, “Crash”


This week students will be learning about place value. Students will be responsible for recognizing and naming numbers up to 1,000,000. They will also compare numbers and practice rounding and estimation.

Students are studying character and setting. We will be reading the story Goin’ Someplace Special as a way to practice identifying character traits and setting.

Students will continue to read Crash by Jerry Spinelli. Class discussions and writing assignments will be focused on bullying, peer pressure, and making good choices.
